Houston is a Shoebill Stork, these magnificent pre-historic looking birds are also sometimes referred to as whale-headed storks. Sadly, they are at risk of extinction less than 5000 thought to be alive in the wild today.
All the characters in this year's Bearhouse Collection have been named after world-famous zoos. The wildlife characters have been chosen because they are all endangered species. These zoos play an important conservation role in ensuring that they can continue to leave their paw prints in the wild.
